Well everyone, just to let you know that I already watched the movie. I work at the theaters down here in Roswell and I talked everyone in to having a midnight showing of Silent Hill... WOOO! At first, I didn't think I would like the fact that the main character would be a woman (to replace Harry Mason), but it did work out quite fine. The three versions of Silent Hill was awesome. The normal one with the father, the creepy one with the fog and ash, and the creepy-creepy one with the fans, gates, etc. The monster children were cool, the patient monsters were just like the game with the acid and all, the nurses ... as I read, "are supermodels with extreme makeovers," and the janitor... I wish they let Rose fight the janitor, but being handcuffed would be quite difficult. I do hope, though, that they have the janitor in the upcoming game! Some of the acting could have been a little better, however. I wish they would have shown pyramid head a LOT more... but if they have a sequel, then they BETTER have him! I still thought it was a bit weird that some of the people of Silent Hill were either still living or... something. It shows a flashback of thirty to fourty years ago and the townsfolk still look the same. I don't get it. The ending was kinda of sad, because Rose and her daughter were suppose to go home to her husband/father, but the demon still had an affect on wherever Rose went, so when she got home, her husband was there, but he was in the normal reality, and Rose was in the creepy reality. They make it seem like it's going to be stuck that way. The one thing that did PISS ME OFF was (MAJOR SPOILER)... they killed Cybil! They first beat her with pipes (the townsfolk and their crazy religion), and then they tied her up and burned her. Through out the movie, I thought they weren't going to show lisa, but they did at the end, which I guess was better than nothing. The transition between the creepy worlds (and even the normal) were perfection. Christophe Gans did not dissapoint me on this movie! It was also awesome that they took the music right from the video games and put them into the movie. It all worked out just fine, people. Do not fear! This is one of those few video game to movie ... movies... that I would want to see again and again. Oh, and if your mother/father takes you to see this movie... I warn you that ... well if they're very religious, then they'll think you've been possessed. They way the townsfolk died was... bloody awesome... hehe. The only thing was, though, was that the other employees that saw the movie this morning were very confused because they didn't get the whole different worlds, split souls, and all that stuff. Some actually thought that the Rose and Sharron had died from the car crash at the beginning and were just put in hell... which in a way they were... but it looks like that when I get back to work, I'll have a lot of explaining to do. WOO-HOO!
